Social Media for Writers: Facebook, Twitter and Blogging

You hear about Social Media all over the place, but what does it mean for writers?

Join us on Wednesday, March 16, as Jim Hill, owner of Digital Quill Design and CCWC Board Member, gives a presentation on social media. We’ll take a high-level look at two major social media services (Facebook and Twitter) and a variety of blogging platforms. Take-aways will include:

- Why bother with Social Media
- Creating a Facebook Page
- Getting the most from Twitter
- Tying it all together with a blog
The evening promises to be an informative one, so don’t miss out!
The event will take place at Uno’s Restaurant, Route 132, Airport Rotary, Hyannis. The cost is $15 and payable at the door.

About Jim Hill:
By day Jim Hill is a graphic designer working with businesses to improve their branding, online presence and social media profile, and has been creating websites since 1995.
By night he’s a children’s writer/illustrator out to make kids laugh until milk shoots out of their little noses.
He has been, or currently is: a computer game artist, actor/writer/director/producer for a family theater, user interface engineer, art director, writer of inspirational silliness, marathoner, father of one, husband of one, college instructor and raconteur.
Jim is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators, and serves on the boards of both the Cape Cod Technology Council and the Cape Cod Writers Center.
