Saturday, March 22, The Cape Cod Writers Center
will present a pair of workshops
to help you take the next step on your writing journey.
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM:
“Writing from the Right Side
of Your Brain”
Seasoned writer and teacher Jamie Cat Callan will teach you how to tap into your intuition, find the passion inside you, and turn that passion into words on the page. Jamie is the author of Ooh La La! (just released), Bonjour, Happiness!, and French Women Don’t Sleep Alone and creator of The Writer’s Toolbox, a kit filled with inspirational tips and tools for writers. A favorite with Cape Cod Writers Center members, Jamie will re-ignite your writing fire.
Two award-winning authors will show you how to draw upon your family history and memories to create a family memoir. Velia Pola is the author of A Bridge Between: Northern Italy Come Hell or High Water, a family history and dramatic travelogue of a journey with her elderly parents. Meikle Paschal’s book The Black Buddhist is a story of a man’s journey from self-doubt and isolation to self-mastery and a deeper connection to life itself. These two dynamic author/teachers will help you tell your own family stories.
Both workshops will take place at the Resort and Conference Center, 35 Scudder Avenue, Hyannis. The cost of either the morning or afternoon workshop is $45 ($40 for CCWC members), or sign up for both workshops for just $75 ($65 for CCWC members).
