Young Writers Workshop
The CCWC is proud to present Young Writers Workshop, now in its fourth decade, which has helped many of our talented youth improve their writing and work towards publication.
The CCWC has been hosting this workshop for students grades 8-12 from the schools of Cape Cod and southern New England, except during the pandemic.

Free Program for all student writers from Cape Cod and Southern New England
The Young Writers Program offers a week of inspiration, learning and fun for writers in grades 8-12, ages 13-18, hosted by the Cape Cod Writers Center and taught by Marcella Pixley, a middle school teacher and the award-winning author of four novels, the most recent Trowbridge Road.
Classes take place 9 AM to noon, Friday through Sunday, August 2-4 at the Emerald Resort, 35 Scudder Ave., Hyannis MA 02601. Parents are invited to hear students read their work at 10:30 AM Sunday, August 4.
Applications will appear on this page in late spring 2024. Notices about the program will also be sent to the English and History Departments of local schools.
