Award-winning television producer/director and author Barbara Sillery is available for guest speaking engagements. She has produced over four dozen documentaries and features for PBS stations around the country on topics ranging from Native American tribal groups to Creole plantation architecture. Sillery is the author of four books: The Haunting of Cape Cod and the Islands, The Haunting of Mississippi, The Haunting of Louisiana, and her most recent, Biloxi Memories.

Historic Preservation: Keeping the Past Alive
Author, geographer, and foreign service officer Reena Patel is available to speak about her book, Working the Night Shift: Women in India’s Call Center Industry and career in the foreign service. She especially enjoys talking to high school and university students. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she has an M.S. in Global Technology and Development from Arizona State University and a Ph.D. in Geography from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to graduate school, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana, and worked in the IT sector in Massachusetts and the travel industry in Hawaii. As a foreign service officer, she has worked overseas in Spain, Mexico, the Sinai Peninsula, and Iraq.
