Saralee Perel is now represented by NYC agent Bob Mecoy for her book, The Dog Who Walked Me, which is about her dog who became her caregiver after Saralee suffered a spinal cord injury, the devastating effects on her marriage, and her cat who kept her sane throughout. Shirley Vogel's book Whispers has won second place in the Spiritual division of the 2009 New England Book Festival! Awards for all categories will be presented on January 16 at the Omni Parker House in Boston, the grand literary hotel where writers like Thoreau, Emerson and Longfellow met at the legendary Sarurday club for poetry readings and high-minded discussions. Jacqueline Loring, former Executive Director of CCWC, has been invited by the elite Achill Heinrich Boll Association in Achilles, Ireland to stay at the cottage of German writer and Nobel Prize winner, Heinrich Boll. The cottage is offerred as a guesthouse and retreat to international artists and writers. Ms. Loring was chosen from 120 applicants. Congratulations, Jacqueline!

Ann Forcier is teaching a writing class called Write Creatively at Clark University this semester.
