Hear two prominent authors describe how they use suspense to heighten reader interest in character, setting, plot and the narrative voice.

 Steven Manchester is author of several bestsellers, including Twelve Months, The Rockin’ Chair; Press Pennies and Gooseberry Island and winner of the 2017 Los Angeles Book Festival and the 2018 New York Book Festival.

Arlene Kay crafts fiendishly clever and humorous mysteries. Published novels include Intrusion; Die Laughing; The Abacus Prize; the Boston Uncommon Series: Swann Dive; Mantrap: Gilt Trip and Swann Songs.
