Congratulations to our poets, Judith Partelow, Alice Kociemba, and  Rich Youman  for an entrancing evening at 6:30 p.m. at the South Yarmouth Public Library on April 10th..

The evening opened with poems from CCWC board member, actress and poet Judith Partelow who read from her work, A Woman’s Heart and  Carry Me Back, A Woman’s Life in Poetry. Poet and haiku guru Rich Youmans, associate director of Calliope —Poetry for Community, then read  from his work along with  several love poems. HIs wife, Alice Kociemba,, poet and founder of Calliope -Poetry for Community then presented several poems, including selections from her latest book Bourne Bridge.

Applause and conversation followed, casting doubt on T. S. Eliot’s comment that “April is the cruellest month.”
