Cape Cod Writers Center’s Young Writers Program This Summer

 Do you like to write? 

Do you want to create exciting stories?  Do you enjoy knowing your words can inspire others?

If so, and you’re between ages 13-18 and in grades 8-12, you’re invited to apply for the FREE  2025 Cape Cod Writers Center’s Young Writers Program, August 1-3 from 9 AM-noon.

A Free Program for all student writers

The Young Writers Program offers a week of inspiration and learning for writers in grades 8-12, ages 13- 18, hosted by the Cape Cod Writers Center and taught by author/teacher Reade Scott Whinnem. Classes run from 9 AM to noon, Friday through Sunday, August 1-3 at the Emerald Resort/ Irish Village, Convention Center, 35 Scudder Avenue, Hyannis MA 02601.

Parents are invited to hear students read their work at 10:30 AM Sunday, August 3. To ensure admission to the program, please complete all information fields and have a parent sign and date the attached consent document.

To submit, please email this completed form to writers@capecodwriterscenter.org  with Young Writers in the subject heading.  Once the Cape Cod Writers Center accepts your completed application, you will receive confirmation.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 28, 2025.

Please email the completed application and consent forms (keep a copy for your records) to the Cape Cod Writers Center at writers@capecodwriterscenter.org. Place “Young Writers Program Application” in the subject line. Your application must be received no later than July 28, 2025.

Reminder: You and your parents must complete these forms if you are under 18 years of age.
