Michael Solomowitz’s debut novel, BEHIND THE FOURTH WALL, will be published in January 2022. It is the story of a once-promising New York playwright who tragically loses his family and escapes to Cape Cod, where he will discover his own complicity in his family’s misfortunes. This spellbinding narrative, laced with hope and redemption, grapples with overcoming grief, second chances and ultimately, the courage to face one’s darkest fears.

Judith Partelow received Honorable Mention in this year’s WOMR Joe Gouveia Outermost Poetry Contest judged by Marge Piercy, for her poem: Summer’s Harvest.

Ted Gale, a former federal prosecutor and superior court judge, published his first legal thriller in January. “Away Game”, a novel set in Southern Massachusetts including Cape Cod, involves a zealous prosecutor’s fight against the New England mob, corruption, and drug trafficking, and has a strong subplot of romance. It is available through KDP/Amazon and soon, a bookstore near you.

Jacqueline Murray Lorring has been awarded the 2020 Parris Award, the SouthWest Writers (Albuquerque, NM) its most prestigious award. Jacqueline Murray Loring a writer with a “published body of work who has shown a pattern of extraordinary effort in furthering the aims of the organization and has given outstandingly of her time and talent to other writers. ”Past recipients include Tony Hillerman, Norman Zollinge and Lois Duncan.

Also as a member of the New Mexico Arts Imaginative Collective, Jacqueline Murray Loring served as the Poetry Curator for Sense of Wonder Experience that premiered both the Art and Music Reveals in December 2020.

Sandra Bolton presented – A Script To Screen zoom meeting with the Barnstable Adult Center of her original screenplay from the written page to the film production. How did the film NOW HIRING  get produced with no budget? This question is answered. After the presentation participants viewed the film. Available on DVD.

She is also working on short film/play about seniors, starring seniors to be filmed at an Adult Center. A table read via zoom and casting call to be scheduled March/April 2021.  Interested volunteers contact  boltonslanding@comcast.net  four-five actors, director, camera crew, site location to be determined when production begins.

Alvina Baxter-Moran completed her debut historical literary novel, Lilli’s Chair . It was published in November 2020, a date that was important because it was exactly 4 years from when she began her project, November 2016.

Barbara Eppich Struna’s fourth historical fiction  The Old Cape Blood Ruby  from her Old Cape Series -will be published in early spring 2021.  Barbara’s short story, Inspiration From Afar  will be published in mid-January 2021 in the anthology,  Chicken Soup for the Soul – Miracles & Divine Intervention.

Ray Anderson completed this past November a personal memoir titled: THE ANDERSON FAMILY: A short history and personal recollections.

Paul Raymer’s short story, The House as a Killer, was accepted into Mystery & Suspense Magazine. His latest novel  Death at the Edge of the Diamond is now available on Amazon.
