Retirement and Scholarship Award to CCWC Board President Barbara Struna October 16, 2024

At the annual meeting  on Wednesday, October 16 at the John F. Kennedy Museum in Hyannis, the Cape Cod Writers Center announced The Barbara E.  Struna Scholarship to honor our retiring president of the board of directors. Barbara has been a caring and devoted president for eight years who helped preserve and modernize our 62 year old Writers Center. The scholarship will be awarded once a year to an aspiring writer who wishes to become a member.

Executive Director Nancy Rubin Stuart presented the award to Barbara as pictured below.

 

Members who attended the meeting also elected a new board of directors led by Kathy Aspden as our new president.

 

Other board of directors members include Alyssa Metcalfe as vice president, Perry Karfunkel as treasurer, Terri Arthur as secretary, and board members Christine Golding, Judith Partelow, Paul Raymer, Michael Solomowitz, Barbara E. Struna, Harris Thompson.
