Anne Ierardi
Author Anne Ierardi.
Anne Ierardi is an expressive artist and writer. Creativity, writing, visual art, and music define Anne’s identity and search for wholeness and the Holy.
“Coming Alive” (2022) is a memoir of her transformative experiences. Along with personal losses in her family she navigated a new sense of identity and community in the years of women’s and gay liberation, wholistic healing, and finding a place in the Protestant churches while holding in her heart a catholic spirituality.
Born in Boston to a large extended Italian-American family, in her early thirties she experienced a faith epiphany leading to seminary at the Episcopal Divinity School (M.Div.) and Boston University (D.Min.) and finally to fulfill her desire as an artist on Cape Cod.
She cofounded Healthsigns Center, for pastoral counseling, contemplative worship, and community gatherings. Healthsigns published Walking with Grief: A Healing Journey illustrated with Anne’s impressionistic paintings and the poetry of Nanette Geertz.
With her partner, Dr. Judy Recknagel, she developed wholistic approaches to the healing arts. They were honored for their leadership of the Cape Cod Coalition of Welcoming Congregations and are listed in the National Women’s Hall of Fame Book of Lives & Legacies.
She enjoys guitar, astrology, and running on the beach with Judy and their poodle, Dolce. You can view her writings and art at www.anneierardi.com
