Author Jim Coogan.
Jim Coogan was raised on Cape Cod in the town of Brewster. Throughout elementary school and high school he lived in the Joseph C. Lincoln birthplace home on Main Street. Perhaps it was this connection to one of Cape Cod’s most prolific novelists that sparked Jim to turn to writing about the Cape after almost three decades as a high school teacher. Since his retirement he has written or co-written 9 books–four of them for children. Jim is a regular columnist for the Cape Cod Times daily newspaper and his articles about the Cape have appeared in numerous area publications. A frequent lecturer on Cape related topics, He and his wife Beth live in Sandwich in a house built in the 1840’s for a worker at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company.
