Tom Brewer
Author Tom Brewer.
I grew up and attended school in the small town of Sudbury, Massachusetts. After serving four years as an electronics technician in the United States Navy, I moved to the Hudson Valley in New York. There I had a career with a major computer manufacturer. While there, in 1991, I began writing a daily journal, which, after many years has morphed into an actual book. Upon retirement, I attended several writing classes to further hone my writing skills and allowing me to put my story down on paper, which is a memoir covering my childhood in Sudbury.
I consider myself to be, both a very lucky person and a very damaged one as well. I feel lucky in that my education and training came easily to me. Beyond that, I gives thanks that fate often placed me in the right place at exactly the right time, throughout my life. On the other hand, I feel damaged by the fact that I was raised in a very dysfunctional fashion, which you’ll read about in my first book.
Then in 2019, after spending lot’s of time on Cape Cod, we decided to move here, and thus became a Wash-A-Shore. Currently I’m working on my second book, which is to be a book of short stories. I’m enjoying my retirement on the Cape with my wife, Linda, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Noah, and our cat Oscar, who is sometimes called the Grouch. Besides writing, I also enjoy dabbling in photography, and listening to the unique, state of the art audio system that I managed to put together.
