In celebration of National Poetry Month Robin Smith-Johnson will present on poems that illustrate a sense of place. She will also read several selections from From the Farther Shore: Discovering Cape Cod and the Islands Through Poetry, a book she co-edited with local poets Alice Kociemba and Rich Youmans. You will also have time in this workshop to try your hand at writing a poem.
A longtime adjunct faculty member at Cape Cod Community College, Robin Smith-Johnson is co-founder of the Steeple Street Poets of Cotuit. . She has published two books of poetry: Dream of the AntiqueDealer’s Daughter (Word Poetry, 2013) and Gale Warnings (Finishing Line Press, 2015). She has also published two books on Cape Cod history. Robin lives with her family in Mashpee, MA.
