the CCWC’s May 17, 2023 Writers Night Out

MEMBERS ONLY
Many writers dream about having their books published by one of the large companies. But what if your book doesn’t garner their attention? What if you’re not interested in going that route anyway but self-publishing doesn’t seem the right fit either? You may want to consider a small press. There are countless small presses that publish fiction, nonfiction, mainstream and specific niches. Lisa Braxton, author of the award-winning debut novel, The Talking Drum, will speak of her experience finding the small press that was right for her. In her presentation, she will explain the pros and cons of being published by a small press, marketing, publicity and editorial control.
