In this Zoom session Dale T. Phillips explains why the act of creation must go on, even in a time of turmoil. In fact writing a mystery can provide a satisfactory and mentally soothing way of dealing with the horrors of the real world. In fiction, the writer can restore the natural order, deliver justice, punish the wicked, all for a measure of peace.
Dale T. Phillips
Dale has published novels, story collections, non-fiction and over 70 short stories. Stephen King was Dale’s college writing teacher. Since Then Dale has found time to appear on stage television, radio, in an independent feature film and has competed on Jeopardy (losing in a spectacular fashion). He’s a member of the Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime.
