WRITING STORIES THAT SOUND REAL
Isn’t that the goal of every storyteller?
That’s why you’re invited to the CCWC’s Writers Night Out, October 16, 6-8 PM at the Riverway Lobster House Restaurant, 1338 Route 28, South Yarmouth, MA 02664.
Cape Cod Times editor, journalist and storyteller Gwenn Friss will speak
about writing stories that ring true
Gwenn Friss is a longtime, occasionally award-winning journalist who has written about subjects ranging from crime to coasters and other home decor. She writes the paper’s food recipes and hosts “Life with Gwenn,” a weekly Facebook Live broadcast at email@example.com; Twitter @dailyrecipeCCT:Instagram:cctcreaturesfeatures
How do you write a scene that feels real? In this session, Gwenn will discuss how journalists are trained to gather details that infuse the wonderful, tragic, odd, funny and mundane — as well as the what, why and how they are trained to collect.
Our invitation includes the CCWC’s annual meeting and election of board members. During this meeting you may elect a delicious dinner at the Riverway Lobster House Restaurant, 1338 Route 28, South Yarmouth, MA 02664.
