Judith Partelow, marketing her book, Passion & Provocation, Selected Poems was on a Times Square billboard on Saturday, Sept. 26th every hour for 24 hrs. and again on Halloween, Oct. 31st! The duration of her spot was 5 secs. in rotation with other authors at 34 mins. after each hour. The billboard is above the Pele Soccer Store at 1560 Broadway. It was available to see on live cam. There were plenty of people despite the weather warnings! This billboard for authors was sponsored by EC Publishing LLC. 

September 27, 2026: West Falmouth, MA Library

CCWC Member Janis Robinson Daly shared the inspiration and research that led to her latest book, "Under Two Flags: A Novel of World War I". The talk was co-presented with the Eight Cousins Bookstore in Falmouth.

The novel draws upon the memoir of 18-year-old Josephine Therese Marzynski, a Boston opera student trapped in Berlin during World War I. Robinson's book was published in March, 2026.

Daly has been a member of CCWC since 2019 and her annual literary citzenship program #31titleswomeninhistory has gained recognition from historical fiction authors and avid readers as an innovative way to celebrate Women's History Month.

Alyssa's novel, Street Brotherhood just won BEST BOOK in the thriller category of the Pencraft Book Awards!

The Massachusetts Cultural Council has awarded Nancy a 2026 grant as a Creative Artist for a novel in progress!

Six students attended the three young writer sessions taught by Reade Scott Whinnem who introduced the students to new ideas and writing techniques. During the last session on Friday, April 24, 2026, parents attended and heard students read from their work.

This coming Thursday night at 7:00, author Nico Lang will be speaking at Hyannis Arts Hall about his book and research on how transgender kids are surviving in a hostile world. Roger will also be there selling Rian Krieger's Journey.. Look for him under the banner: "Spoiler Alert: Rian is Trans!"

Historical fiction novelists, Linda Hannon and Paul H. Raymer will be attending the History Through Fiction Conference in Beverly MA at the end of March, 2026. This conference marks the United States Semiquincentennial "invites writers to explore how narratives can shape our understanding of history and influence the present. By reimagining history, writers can inspire change and spark new conversations about our shared future."

Diane Finney’s play RIPCORD, has been chosen as one of eight plays, out of 110 scripts received, to be produced in the Theatre Odyssey Twenty-First Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival, January 8 -11, 2026 at the Cook Theater FSU Center for Performing Arts in Sarasota, Florida.

Rick Cochran’s Death at Bound Brook Pier was awarded a coveted Kirkus Star by Kirkus Reviews. It was also chosen by Kirkus as one of only four “Best Indie Books of the Month” for October. Rick will be doing an author talk at Wellfleet Congregational Church on Saturday, December 7th at 11:00 am and be speaking at the Provincetown Senior Center on Wednesday, December 18th at 1:30 pm.
