The CCWC is proud to present Young Writers Workshop, now in its fourth decade, which has helped many of our talented youth improve their writing and work towards publication.
I grew up in central Connecticut, and I loved writing from a very young age. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and went on to receive my MFA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Despite the magic that is springtime in the south, I knew upon graduating from UNCG that my future lay back in New England.
Since 1997, I have had the privilege of teaching media and English at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. My published works include Utten and Plumley (2003), released by Hampton Roads Publishing, and The Pricker Boy (2009), published by Random House. Over the years, I have taught writing to both students and teachers and have been fortunate to lead summer workshops with the Cape Cod Writers Center, the National Writing Project, and other organizations.
