CCWC’s Breakfast with the Authors Provides Readers with Good Reads

The Cape Cod Writers Center was pleased to present Breakfast with the Authors  to an interested audience of  members and friends who arrived at  the Cape Codder Resort and Hotel on Friday morning, December 6th. The program featured three authors whose books have been published within the last year.

The first speaker was Mike O’Connor whose amused the audience with description of his books, Why Do Blubirds Hate Me? and Why Don’t Woodpeckers Get Headaches? and whose editor, Olivia Miller, read from one of the books.

Mike”s talk was followed by CCWC’s  Executive Director, Nancy Rubin Stuart, who  spoke about what inspired her to write her double biography, Defiant Brides, within which two two remarkable women married prominent men of the Revolution, leading one woman to become a patriot, and the other the spy.

Our third and equally intriguing author was Virgina Young, who described how earlier life events inspired her recent mysteries. These include her msot recent book, I Call Your Name, as well as Family of Strangers and By a Thread.  

 The Cape Cod Writers Center is planning another Breakfast With the Authors in 2014 so watch for a notice in the New Year!
