Resounding Applause for CCWC’s Breakfast with the Authors June 3, 2016

Twenty eight participants at the Cape Cod Writers Center’s Breakfast with the Authors applauded enthusiastically for the three speakers who spoke about their books on Friday, June 3 at the Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis.

The first, Deborah Swiss, described the remarkable story and the historical truths of the women who were forced to emigrate from Britain to “down under” in her dramatic nonfiction book, The Tin Ticket: The Heroic Journey of Australia’s Convict Women.

She was followed by CCWC member Steve Marini, whose latest book, Schmuel’s Journey, features the story of a youthful prisoner at Auschwitz during World War II who is renamed Sam Miller after emigrating to the United States and must confront a demon from his past.
