Michael Warren is an emerging writer embarking on a new career after retirement as a corporate finance executive.  He grew up in a family of German immigrant Mennonite farmers in a small Kansas town.  Having written extensively for business documents, he is now pursuing the long held dream of writing creative fiction.  In 2016 he was selected as a participant in the Advanced Intensive Workshop at the URI Summer Writing Conference.  His short stories have appeared several journals, and he writes a blog on aging without the support of children.
